OMG The Launch Party was Hot!

This is one of the videos that premiered at the "red hot" red carpet video and CD launch party.  If you weren't there, then you missed a serious event.  Champagne flowed, cameras rolled and reporters interviewed those involved in the creation of what will be known as having a "Good Morning Amy."  If you are not sure what that means then you are gonna have to get a copy of the newest album release from Billy Drease Williams.

By the way, If you think that the "Shut The Gate" video is on point wait til the "Just Doin' It" video hits a TV/ computer screen near you.  That one got a standing ovation...and a well deserved one at that.

Introducing Kendra Eaglin

My line of work allows me to meet the most interesting people.  I am pictured above with Channel 7's Kendra Eaglin.  Kendra, my newest client, asked me to create her "look" for the Niagara Chapter of the Links Inc. 60th Anniversary Luncheon where she served as the Mistress of Ceremonies.  The theme of the event was 60 years of philanthropy.

Kendra comes to Western New York from KTVM, the NBC station in Bozeman, Montana, where she anchored the 6pm weekday newscast.

In case you were wondering what I selected for Kendra here's a run down:  the suit was by Elie Tahari, the jewelry included an Akoya Pearl Necklace with a 14k Toggle detail and a 1950's Vintage Pendant (made of 14k Gold with a natural pearls and turquoise spray) attached.  Look close...her earrings are also fine Akoya Pearls set in 18k gold.  Not shown in this picture is the clutch she carried (a 1980's vintage piece) from the exotic collection of FURLA (made in Italy) and a 1960's vintage 14k gold cocktail ring set with an Akoya Pearl, turquoise and garnets.  Her hair was compliments of  the professionals at JC Penny Salon.

Apple's Haberdashery on You Tube

I am so fortunate to have such talented and giving friends one of which took the time to make me a short 30-second commercial for my wardrobe salon. Check out YouTube to see me in action at Apple's Haberdashery Wardrobe Salon. The footage was taken from our last Open House for production companies and directors. ENJOY

Performer Billy Drease Just Doin' It Video Shoot

Billy Drease is always doin' it but this time I was asked to do it with him. The team of DTR45 never ceases to amaze me on their collective talent and creativity, and this came through, on the set of his most recent video shoot. This production was for a cut on the Good Morning Amy album where I was invited to lend my thoughts to his work which is always artistic genius. I spent the day with Drease and his crew as they shot a sometimes comical, consistently intriguing mini documentary featuring everyday people engaged in what they love to do. As a wardrobe stylist it was hard but I was completely hands off and let everybody do their own looks the way that only they do it.

Vivica Fox, Plays Lady Midnight in "Queen City"

Director Peter McGennis is in production of his most recent film Queen City right here in the Queen City.  Pictured above with me is actress Vivica Fox.  Here the two of us, dressed in full 1980's get-up, had a chance to pose and chat during a break in filming a couple of night club scenes.  My friends and family got a chance to see me in a more candid moment when Chanel 4 News, who managed to sneak onto the set to snag a quick interview with Vivica, inadvertently captured me passing by her to grab some sushi and pizza from the cast and crew's break area.
It was nice to be a part of this project and to work with such a great talent.  Not only did she play every bit of the role of a 1980's local jazz legend, but she was also, sweet, down to earth and adoring to every cast member and production person on the set.  I'll be posting photos of my full ensemble as soon as they become available.

Here's a picture of me with some of the cast members who were chillin' with me in the bar scene.  Their outfits included "crimped hair," big shoulders, sequins, skinny ties, leather jackets and huge earrings.  My outfit included the following Apple's Haberdashery designer items:
  • Escada Earrings
  • Metamorphosis Top
  • Christian Dior Shoes

Earth Day's Coming, and it's a great time to visit Sweetness 7 and Mum's and Daisey's

Earth Day is in two days so I thought that I'd share photos of some of the great places that practice planet friendly principles everyday.  The crew for UpFront TV decided to hold our weekly meeting at a coffeehouse on the westside called Sweetness 7.  As I walked down Grant Street I just had to take a picture of the store window for Mum's and Daisey's which did an amazing job of repurposing odd objects that sprinkle a bit of nature on an urban terrain.  It just so happens that the owner was on her way in and was nice enough to pose.  Yeah I'm nosey and yeah I took a picture... but  I did it all for you!

Once we sat down at the Sweetness 7cafe I discovered that brainstorming around interesting objects and knick-knacks really stimulates creative energies...we were all perked up like coffeemakers.  I love it when people think about alternative uses for buildings, acknowlege beauty in all of its forms and embrace reuse.  The owner of this coffee house is a hero in my book, and the coffee is excellent!  The last photo is of Executive Producer Mike Quinniey and me.

Check out.... reFASHIONer

I was sent an email the other day inviting me to become a Founding Member of the newest online shopping experience known as re{FASHION}er and I'm just tickled pink!  I first heard of this "couture clothes swap concept" (say that three times) at Fashion Week but there was little information available because the site was still in development.  But the cat is out of the bag and I encourage everyone to check out the site as stylistas everywhere are uploading to their virtual closets as we speak.
Who'da thought spring cleaning could be so much fun... I can't wait to get my first post up.  I have a feeling that this site will be officially announced in the upcoming Sex and The City 2 Movie just as the Bag Borrow or Steal site was.  This comes at a great time since I wanted to do a clothes swap but didn't have the time to coordinate one.
Reuse and Online Shopping...this is as good as it gets!

NFL Hall of Fame Legend Thurman Thomas, A Legendary NFL Stadium and Me

Although I enjoy any opportunity to highlight efforts that promote reuse and repurposing, I am pleased to say that this one is extra special. Pictured above is me with, none other than, Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas who I am assisting with the revitalization of the historic War Memorial Stadium...known by locals as the "Old Rock Pile." I've included an image of the past for ole time’s sake.
